1) Bluetooth headset. Get it as soon as you get the phone. I only had about 10 accidental hang ups and putting people on hold before I went bluetooth. I settled on the Jabra BT125 bought at Best Buy, because it was the most inexpensive one, and I am super happy with it (I use it mostly in the car - 1 hour commute to and from work). Although I wouldn't classify this as a necessity, let me also suggest getting a stereo Bluetooth Headphone if you plan to listen to music or podcasts on your phone.

2) MicroSD Card. The ATT Tilt is a powerhouse of a phone/ Pocket PC/ PDA, and to take advantage of it you will probably download lots of programs. Like a traditional computer, these programs take up memory and you don't want a full phone drive, so install them to a micro SD card instead.

How do you know which programs to install to the phone and which to install to the card? My rule of thumb is that if the program is intended to change phone settings, if it's large or if I'm going to use it quite regularly, then it is installed to the phone. Everything else, including music, videos and text documents go to the SD Card.

3) Car charger. There are so many things you can do with this phone, like surf the internet, listen to music and podcasts, voice recording, watch videos, check mail every 15 minutes ... you get the idea. Battery life WILL be an issue. So make sure you can always charge it whenever there is an opportunity.

4) Screen protectors. There is 1 that comes with the phone, but it's better to get a few more. Amazon has ScreenGuardz Ultra-Slim Screen Protectors, $11.99 for a pack of 15, or PocketSolutions sells a pack of 3 for $4.95.

5) Phone case. I love my Tilt, but this is no slender iPhone. I tried lugging this around with no case, but ... don't. After plopping a few hundred on this - it needs to be protected like the investment that it is. I am partial to the all encompassing leather case, but there are many other options at DayDeal.com.
