Add Google calendar entries by voice using Jott

cell phone calendarI am finally a convert to using electronic calendars due to developing a calendaring system that hinges on never being more than 2 feet away from being able to enter an appointment. My cell phone is an integral part of that. A calendar on the PC alone won't work for me, but add one on my cell, one on the internet (Google calendar), and the ability to sync all 3 using Oggsync, and the system is close to perfection.

What's the missing piece - the ability to call in to one of the calendars and have the details entered automatically! Thanks to Jott.com, I now have my wish - and they put icing on the cake by making it free. They have made it super easy to add appointments to any Google calendar. To make an entry, sign up at Jott.com and add a calendar to your profile. From then on, you only need to call the Jott number (1-666-JOTT123 - put it in your phone contacts), say "Google Calendar" and then the appointment details. Jott's system (which involves humans and machines), will have the details entered in your calendar within a few minutes.

Jott also has a ton more features, including posting to various other applications like Twitter, Amazon (for price checking), Xpenser (expense tracking), and even to some blogging platforms - well worth checking out and signing up.
Thanks to IntoMobile where I first read about this juicy tidbit.
