Today Screen ThemePhone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Black Diamond (original wallpaper from HTC Home Diamond Theme from PPC Geeks but it's modified to include a landscape orientation and packaged as a theme).

Programs: PhoneAlarm Lite with the noPlugin skin (by macguffin), WeatherPanel using the PhatPhinger III theme with Touch QVGA icons, pRSSreader, TodayAgenda.

Notes: Changed the task bar and soft-keys bar to black using UI Tweaker (TdyScheme Changer). Also removed the soft keys using PMC-TodayShrink.

The tray at the bottom of your screen can be removed using PMC-TodayShrink (which is the same as vjtodaytoggle). This removes the display only and the soft keys can still be used to open the applications to which they are assigned.

Another program that's also used is dciNoBar, but on my ATT Tilt, the on screen keyboard icon kept popping up at random times, so it was no good for me.

Today Screen Theme Today Screen Theme

Phone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Black Leather (originally from BlackLeather WeatherPanel Theme).
Programs: HTC Home with the Diamond Theme from PPC Geeks, Wireless Today Screen plugin and Spb Insight (RSS feed reader).

Notes: The bottom tray was removed using PMC-TodayShrink (I was using dciNoBar before - but the on screen keyboard icon kept popping up). Programs shown in the Launcher (2nd picture) are:

  • eWallet ($29.95). Love it! It has already saved me a lot of grief and is one of the few programs I've happily paid for.
  • gCalc. A simple calculator with a nice user interface (not scientific so get something else to do your square roots and such).
  • MSS Converter. Converts lengths, widths, areas, currency ... what doesn't this convert!
  • Group SMS. Send text messages to multiple people at once.
  • SharpMT. Enables mobile blogging for Movable Type blogs.
  • Vexed. I'm totally addicted to this game.
  • ScreenCapture. Takes pictures of the phone screen and saves to the phone. I'm not using this anymore because it saves images only as Bitmap. Replaced with CapSure-XDA - which is also not without it's issues.
  • Live Search Mobile. Another often used program, plus I prefer it to Google Maps Mobile.
  • File Explorer (default).

Midnight TreePhone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Moon Tree (via from PPC Geeks).
Programs: Phone Alarm with PhatPhinger G.A.N.T. Edition Skin, WeatherPanel with PhatPhinger III theme and Stardock Animated Icons

Notes: Using Spacer 2 (today plugin) between Phone Alarm and Weather Panels (set at 5 pixels). Spacer 2 adds distance (space) between today plugins.

Today Theme Today Theme

Phone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Wood Grain (originally obtained from PPC Geeks, but I changed it to make the font color on the Today Screen white instead of black).
Programs: HTC Home customized with HTC Home Customizer) to a semi-transparent background, My Puma White clock and Last Order icons, Sports Ticker, TodayAgenda and Spb Insight (feed reader).

Notes: The program shortcuts in the 2nd screenshot are:

  • eWallet ($29.95) - and worth every penny.
  • TVGuide. It sends text message reminders of your favorite shows.
  • Olive Tree Bible.
  • Pocket Word (default program).
  • SharpMT. Mobile blogging (Movable Type).
  • Fring. Connects me to instant messanger, skype and twitter (I might be too addicted to interwebs).
  • GooSync. Syncs Outlook Calendar to Google Calendar.
  • Live Search Mobile. Gas prices, movie showtime, directions, search and more.
  • gCalc. Simple calculator.
  • I'm also using Pocket Informant as the calendar program, which has its own Today Screen plugin, but it's not as nice as Today Agenda.

Today Screen Theme: Black WeatherPhone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Black Mesh (download link)
Programs: Weather Panel using Son of Commuter (240 QVGA) Theme, Fring, Phone Alarm Lite with the AllRock v4 skin by Allrockabilly, TodayAgenda and Spb Insight (feed reader).

Notes: Weather Panel is really versatile. Check out some gorgeous themes on the PPC Geeks forum, but be warned, the themes take up close to 1MB of memory each. I'm also using dciNoBar to remove the lower task bar.

Iphonified Iphonified

Phone: ATT Tilt
notes: This look was achieved using the very detailed instructions found on the ATT forums. The first download (with the Word doc) has instructions and all the programs you'll need - which include cLaunch, phone Alarm Lite with the myPhone skin, and dciNoBar to remove the lower task bar (be sure to check for program updates).

Changes: I modified the look to get the one shown in the 2nd pic by:
  • changing the theme from black to Wood Grain - originally obtained from PPC Geeks, but I changed it to make the font color on the Today Screen white instead of black (download via zShare).
  • switched the myPhone skin for Phone Alarm, which doesn't have a landscape mode, to Shelf'd Tabs Minimal skin.

TMobiconsPhone: ATT Tilt
Theme:
T-Mobile
Programs: Date and Messaging (both default programs),
Weather Panel (need to register with PPCGeeks and XDA to download) and cLaunch.

notes: Weather Panel is no longer being updated by Mars, but developer communities have kept it going and so it still works for now. But, I've since switched to Weather to Go by Tonaya (freeware) as seen in this screenshot.

Blackwires Today ScreenPhone: ATT Tilt
Theme: Black
Programs: Date and Messaging (both default programs), Weather To Go, Today Agenda, Wireless (via Xda developers - have to join to download).

Notes: I also used Advanced Configuration to change the soft keys at the bottom to gCalc (described here) and to get rid of the date and time at the very top (start menu).

Golf Today Screen
Phone: ATT Tilt Theme: Apple Golf Ball Programs: HTC Home (iPhone-Alt icons), cLaunch showing 1 tab, Wireless Today screen plugin (via Xda developers - have to join to download).

notes: The programs in the cLaunch tab are eWallet - one of the few programs that I have actually bought for my phone (totally worth it), oggSync (was using the free version, but it stopped working), fring, gCalc, and Live Search. Scroll bars appear because of the screenshot program. Normally, it's not there.
